The Jackhouse Nature Reserve is a beautiful green area in the heart of Hyndburn. It has been part of local life for many years with generations of residents and dogs walking round the ponds and wandering through the woods. Many residents have watched with dismay as rubbish left by fly campers and Vandalism over the last few years has left the Jackhouse in poor order with walkers ceasing to use the area due to muddy dangerous paths. A group of local residents and people who use the Jackhouse have got together to clean and tidy up the area and improve it for the local people.
So far new and extended paths mean that the youngest and oldest can use the paths and jogging appears to have become the new Sunday morning pastime.
